SERVES: 1-2 people

PREPARATION TIME: 10-15 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • NOMMii Tingly Numbing Chili Oil noodles: 1 Pack
  • Rice cakes (tube shaped)
  • Tteobokki sauce
  • (Optional) Protein: We used Chicken and Fish Cakes
  • Kimchi
  • Onion: Half an onion
  • Spring Onion: 1 sprig
  • Water: 200mL or until all ingredients submerged
  • Mozzarella cheese (shredded): Up to you, can never have too much :)

    COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

    1. SLICE UP THE VEGGIES AND PROTEIN

Start by slicing up the veggies and protein (if you are using it). It's best to have them all uniform shape so they cook evenly.

    2. COOK THE PROTEIN AND TAKE OUT OF PAN

Heat up your pan and cook the protein first if you are using it. We used chicken, so we cooked it first then took it out after its 90% cooked.

    3. COOK ONION, FISH CAKE, AND KIMCHI TO PAN

Add your onion for the aromatics, fish cakes, and kimchi to pan. Let it cook a bit so the vegetables become soft and caramelized.

    4. ADD TTEOBOKKI SAUCE AND WATER UNTIL EVERYTHING IS SUBMERGED

Use a bit of your own judgement here. If you like the tteobokki sauce to be stronger, you can add more. Once you have added in the sauce, add in water until everything is submerged. It may seem like alot, but you will need the water to cook the noodles in the next step. Also, most of the liquid will evaporate later, so don't worry.

    5. ADD IN NOODLES AND TINGLY NUMBING SAUCE

Add in noodles from NOMMii Tingly Numbing Chili Oil Noodle pack and Tingly Numbing sauce packet into pan, this gives it the added sichuan spicy flavor, which makes it even more delicious!

    5. COOK FOR 6 MINUTES

Cook for about 6 minutes or when the noodles are 80% done.

    6. ADD IN TTEOBOKKI

Add in the tteoboki and cook for another 3 minutes or until tteobokki is ready.

    7. ADD CHOPPED SPRING ONIONS AND MOZZARELLA CHEESE

To finish it off, add in chopped spring onions and mozzarella cheese. Close the lid for 1 minute for the cheese to melt.

    8. READY TO EAT!

Once the cheese has melted, it's ready to eat!
