10-MIN DIN TAI FUNG SESAME NOODLES HACK AT HOME
Every time I go back to Taiwan, there is one place that is non-negotiable: Din Tai Fung. There is a specific magic in that place: watching the staff meticulously fold dumplings through the glass window and seeing the endless lines of eager and hungry people. It’s the one spot that always tastes like home.
For those who are not familiar, Din Tai Fung is a Michelin-starred Taiwanese restaurant famous for its Xiao Long Bao, noodle dishes, and their obsession with quality, precision, and authentic comfort food.
Living abroad, sometimes those cravings hit hard. Luckily, you don’t need a plane ticket to enjoy their legendary flavors. This is the ultimate 10-minute Din Tai Fung hack to recreate their famous sesame noodles at home.
By using NOMMii Silky Sesame Noodles, you get that same fragrant, restaurant quality experience that turns a busy weeknight into a trip back to Taipei.
Total time: 10 mins
Difficulty: Super Easy
Protein: ~16g protein per serving
🛒 INGREDIENTS
- 1 pack NOMMii Silky Sesame Noodles
- a handful of toasted peanuts
- 1 stalk fresh scallions (the green part), roughly chopped
- 1-2 tbsp starchy noodle water

🍳 INSTRUCTIONS
- Create the Liquid Gold: Open the packs. Whisk the sesame paste and soy sauce together vigorously. You want to keep going until it emulsifies: meaning it turns into a smooth, glossy texture that looks just like caramel;
- In a dry pan over medium-low heat, lightly toast your peanuts until they smell fragrant. Finely chop them up along with your fresh scallions;
- Cook your noodles according to the package instructions; Before you drain them, scoop out a spoonful of that starchy boiling water;
- Mix it with the sauce prepared before. And don't worry if it looks watery, it will be absorbed by the noodles later (just like pasta);
- Place noodles in a bowl. For the full experience, fold the noodles over each other neatly;
- Pour that luxurious sauce over the top, sprinkle with the peanuts and scallion garnish. Enjoy!

FUN FACT
Why no vinegar or spice? 🤔
Good catch! This specific style emphasizes minimalism. The goal is to let the sesame aroma be the main character. If we add too many bold flavors like vinegar or chili oil, they tend to mask the delicate nuttiness of the sauce.
I recommend trying it pure first, but feel free to add your own flair if you’re craving extra heat.
