YAKISOBA - STIR FRIED SCALLION NOODLES

YAKISOBA - STIR FRIED SCALLION NOODLES

WHAT IS YAKISOBA

Yakisoba (焼きそば) is a classic Japanese stir-fried noodle dish. They are usually stir-fried with thinly sliced meat or seafood, cabbage, carrots, and onions, then tossed in a sweet-savory sauce that’s tangy, smoky, and deeply umami—often likened to a Japanese twist on Worcestershire sauce.

It's quick, satisfying, and endlessly customizable—perfect for weeknight meals or leftover-friendly fridge raids.

With NOMMii Soy Scallion Noodles, you can easily recreate this comfort food at home.

🛒 INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pack NOMMii Soy Scallion Noodles
  • 3–4 stalks fresh spring onion
  • A handful of bean sprouts and shredded cabbage (or any veggies you like)
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • A dash of Worcestershire or tonkatsu sauce for that classic yakisoba tang
  • Extra toppings: kewpie mayo, pickled ginger, or seaweed flakes

🍳 INSTRUCTIONS

1. COOK THE NOODLES (WHILE PREPPING THE STIR-FRY)

Cook the NOMMii Soy Scallion Noodles according to package instructions — but reduce the cooking time by 1–2 minutes so they can finish in the pan later.
Drain and set aside. Keep the sauce pack for later.

2. STIR-FRY THE VEGGIES (WHILE THE NOODLES COOK)

While the noodles are boiling, heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
Then toss in the cabbage, bean sprouts (or other veggies), and spring onion. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until just tender.

3. COMBINE AND FINISH

Add the cooked noodles to the pan with your stir-fried veggies. Pour in the soy scallion sauce pack, along with a splash of Worcestershire or tonkatsu sauce if you’re using it.Toss everything together for 1–2 minutes until evenly coated, glossy, and heated through.

 4. GARNISH AND SERVE

You can add extra toppings such as seaweed flakes, pickled ginger or even a drizzle of kewpie mayo. And enjoy!
